Skydiving

For over 24 years Skyline has been the leading charity events organiser in the UK working with well over 3000 amazing charities and raising tens of millions of pounds over the years.

With stacks of experience and more than 100,000 successful and happy jumpers, the team at Skyline aim to give you the best, adrenaline filled experience possible. They will handle your booking to make it as easy as possible and will be on hand to answer any of your niggling questions, giving you the time to get yourself prepared for the ultimate challenge!

What is it like?

A Tandem skydive is the easiest and most popular of all skydives. It requires only 30 minutes of training before you then jump strapped to your instructor! The BPA (British Parachute Association) qualified tandem instructor does all of the hard work for you, allowing you to enjoy the exhilarating feeling of flying through the clouds from over 10,000 feet at up to 120 mph! It is a truly unforgettable experience.

Can friends and family come along to watch?

Yes they can – please be aware though that it can be a long day for them if the jump is delayed due to weather. They can usually arrive around 1 hour after the jumper if it is easier for them as training and registration will be completed by then.

Points to remember:
  • All Airfields have a weight limit for parachuting – the majority are 15 stone, however there are certain airfields that can take both higher and lower! Details can be found on our Prices and Locations page for each airfield.
  • It can take 2-3 days to get you booked. As soon as are you’ll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know about your upcoming jump!
  • If you have any questions then take a look at Skyline’s FAQs page, or call Skyline on 020 7424 5522!

Make A Podcast

Do you have a particular passion or interest that you feel like you could talk about for hours?

These days it’s super easy to record and upload, or simply livestream your own podcast for all the world to hear! Why not share your passion and knowledge while raising funds for East Cheshire Hospice?

Now we’re talking…

To create a fundraising podcast you’ll need a topic, some ideas to talk about and ideally some basic recording equipment. You could involve different guests related to the topic, plan games and activities and even involve your audience with ‘call ins’ or Q&As.

For the fundraising aspect, the easiest thing to do is to set up a JustGiving page which you can direct people to and encourage to donate when they listen. You can even livestream directly from a JustGiving page! You’ll want to mention your fundraising plenty in your podcast to remind people why you’re doing it and get them donating!

All the ideas but no gear?

So, you’ve got your topic and ideas for your podcast, but how do you actually make and distribute it??

It’s up to you how serious you get with this one. If you want to keep it simple, most computers or even your phone will have a fairly decent microphone which you can use to record or livestream your show. If you don’t fancy livestreaming you can upload your podcast onto a website such as Soundcloud for free.

If you want to get a bit more get serious with your podcast, you’ll want a set of headphones, a proper microphone and some recording software. This might sound complicated and expensive but these days you can pick up these things quite cheaply online. If you want your podcast to appear on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, you’ll then need to choose a ‘host’. Click here for a guide to creating your own podcast.

Don’t forget to make it easy for people to donate!

Make sure you set up your Just Giving page so your listeners can donate to your cause. Click here and follow the simple step-by-step process to creating your fundraising page. Make sure to fill in the details about your challenge, set yourself a fundraising target and add a link to your podcast if you’re sharing it elsewhere. Share your page with friends and family on social media, email, WhatsApp, text… and away you go!
