Reporting to:

Retail Manager

Closing date:

  • Do you have retail experience?
  • Do you have excellent people and customer service skills?
  • Would you like a rewarding job that makes a real difference to people’s lives?

If so, East Cheshire Hospice wants to hear from you! We are based in Macclesfield and provide care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses and their families. We want to make every day count for people who are facing the toughest challenges of their lives.

Our shops are an essential part of helping raise our daily cost of £7,500 and we are looking for an Assistant Manager who will help us to continue growing these warm and welcoming shops.

On a daily basis your role will be dressing the shop window, sorting stock and being available to help customers. You will help us to create a well-presented shop with a great atmosphere where customers enjoy shopping.  You will also, alongside the Shop Managers, be responsible for our dedicated volunteers and for helping to provide training and development so that they are able to perform their roles effectively.

The successful candidates will have retail skills and experience, excellent people and customer service skills and be passionate about the pre-owned/ charity sector and raising funds for an excellent cause. Previous experience of working in the charity sector would be an advantage.

The role covers all our shops, so access to your own transport/the ability to travel independently across our catchment area is essential.

In return the successful candidates will receive a competitive salary, 7 weeks paid holiday per year and join a growing team of committed and enthusiastic retail staff and volunteers. It’s a chance to work with great people, for a fantastic cause!

East Cheshire Hospice is committed to diversity across its workforce.
