Assistant Shop Manager

If so, East Cheshire Hospice wants to hear from you! We are based in Macclesfield and provide care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses and their families. We want to make every day count for people who are facing the toughest challenges of their lives.

Our shops are an essential part of helping raise our daily cost of £7,500 and we are looking for an Assistant Manager who will help us to continue growing these warm and welcoming shops.

On a daily basis your role will be dressing the shop window, sorting stock and being available to help customers. You will help us to create a well-presented shop with a great atmosphere where customers enjoy shopping.  You will also, alongside the Shop Managers, be responsible for our dedicated volunteers and for helping to provide training and development so that they are able to perform their roles effectively.

The successful candidates will have retail skills and experience, excellent people and customer service skills and be passionate about the pre-owned/ charity sector and raising funds for an excellent cause. Previous experience of working in the charity sector would be an advantage. The  role covers all our shops, so access to your own transport/ the ability to travel independently across our catchment area is essential.

Community Fundraising Assistant

Description

East Cheshire Hospice is based in Macclesfield and supports patients with life limiting illnesses and their families.

As Community Fundraising Assistant you will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain our relationships within the community. You will proactively identify, recruit and retain new community supporters and will provide excellent administrative and practical support to the Community Fundraiser in delivering new and existing fundraising initiatives.

This is an income generating role and we are looking to recruit someone with a passion for fundraising, who has the drive to meet and exceed demanding financial targets. This role will suit someone who enjoys meeting people, establishing and maintaining relationships and has excellent organisation skills. The ideal candidate will have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills, will be comfortable pitching, presenting and talking to community audiences, and will be a positive team player. The successful person will also have good IT skills and be able to work effectively in a busy environment.

Due to the nature of this role, being a car owner or having the ability to travel within the Hospice catchment area is essential. Mileage will be paid at 0.45 per mile.
