Across our catchment area we have several volunteer groups that fundraise on behalf of the Hospice all year round. They organise a variety of events and activities for their local community and raise vital funds and awareness for the Hospice.
Joining a group is a great way to meet new friends, work with others, be part of your community and give back to a local cause. We support our groups with materials, advice, regular meetings and they are covered by our insurance policy.
What some of our current members say about being part of a Support Group:
“I like being part of a group helping to raise funds for this wonderful hospice that looked after my mum so well in the last week of her life.”
“I Enjoy meeting people on our coffee mornings also going to other events, meeting people I have not seen in a long time. I Also enjoy cooking for the events.”
“Feeling like I’m doing some good and giving back.”

Our current groups are always looking for new members and fresh ideas, or if you don’t see a group in your area why not start a new one, we’d be happy to get you set up and started! If you’re interested in more information, please contact the Community Fundraising Team.
