Two trolleys funded by long-established Bollington company Tullis Russell are helping make memories for patients at East Cheshire Hospice.
They store art and craft materials along with a helpful guide suggesting ways patients can undertake activities with family and friends.
The trolleys are used in the inpatient unit and Tullis Russell is hoping to fund others for the Sunflower Living Well Centre.
Tullis Russell, which is mostly employee owned, has more than 100 staff in Bollington creating specialist coating for a range of paper products, including labels, security documents and replacements for single use plastics.
The donation also came from the Russell Trust, its charitable arm.

Managing director Fergus McKendrick said: “Through the Russell Trust and Tullis Russell, supporting local causes is something we’re passionate about and it’s a privilege to help an organisation that does so much for our local community.
“We’ve built a strong relationship with East Cheshire Hospice over the years and continue to be inspired by the incredible care and support it provides to patients and their families.
“We’re proud that our latest donation helped fund making memories trolleys, giving patients and families the opportunity to share meaningful moments together when they matter most.”
A comment about the company’s donation on its LinkedIn page read: “My mother died there and I used to work for Tullis Russell, so this post makes me feel good. Thank you.”
Amy Williams, the Hospice’s Family and Friends fundraiser, said: “We’ve already seen families create beautiful keepsakes together which they can treasure forever.
“We can’t thank Tullis Russell enough for helping make this special project possible.”
