Remember a loved one at Light Up A Life

A Light Up A Life service organised by East Cheshire Hospice takes place on Saturday, December 3, from 4.30 pm.

It returns to St Michael and All Angels Church, Macclesfield, for the first time in three years.

The event has been online only for the last two years due to Covid.

It will be broadcast live online for those unable to attend with details of how to watch on the Hospice website. A recording will also be available.

The half-hour service is a chance to remember lost loved ones and is suitable for those of all faiths and none.

Tickets are not required and attendees are urged to arrive by 4 pm. Mince pies and mulled wine will be served afterwards.

A Tree of Memories decorated with personalised baubles will be on display in the Hospice Chapel as in other years.

Bethan Wade, Challenge Events Co-ordinator, said: “The service is a beautiful way to join together to remember those who mean the most to us.

“You can also remember someone special by dedicating a bauble and making a donation.

“By doing so, you’re helping us continue to care for and support patients, not just at Christmas but whenever they need it the most.”

Light Up a Life packs are available subject to availability in exchange for a donation. Email amy.williams@echospice.org.uk, or call 01625 665688 for a pack.
