We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate who is eager to start or progress their career in IT. The position will involve supporting with all aspects of IT, whilst studying with full support towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification.

Working within a dynamic IT team with an exciting digital transformation strategy. The successful candidate will contribute towards the provision of effective IT support across all areas of the Hospice. For example, this will include helpdesk support for individuals, general maintenance of hardware / software and setting up new user accounts. The IT Apprentice will assist the Head of IT and IT Technician, to maintain the Hospice’s systems, such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Intune.

No two days are the same in this dynamic role. You’ll play a key part in delivering responsive and effective 1st line IT support, ensuring excellent customer service and applying strong problem-solving skills. You’ll handle ad-hoc queries from across the Hospice and escalate IT issues where appropriate, contributing to the smooth running of our digital infrastructure.

We’re seeking a forward-thinking, self-motivated individual ready to take their first step into an IT career. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of computers, Windows operating system and Microsoft 365, as well as a basic troubleshooting and understanding of networking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is a positive, team-oriented attitude.

What you will need:

A knowledge of computer systems, Windows and mobile operating systems, Microsoft 365, troubleshooting and basic networking.

Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach to work. The ability to work with a team and be pro-active.

Ambition and determination to successfully balance the needs of the role alongside study for your apprenticeship qualification.
