How can you support East Cheshire Hospice?

Schools and youth groups can support East Cheshire Hospice in many ways—join our events, organise your own fundraisers, or volunteer!

We’ll help by attending assemblies or meetings, providing materials, and offering advice.

We’ve put lots of ideas and tips in our fundraising guide, which you can view online, but here are a few to get you started.

Christmas Run

Each year, we host a fun Christmas activity for local schools and youth groups, designed to fit around your schedule while raising vital funds for East Cheshire Hospice through sponsorship.

Choose a date and location—like a school field, playground, or park—and plan your activity. Make it your own with options like a Festive Boogie, Nature Walk, Treasure Hunt, or even a run. The goal is to have fun!

We provide:

Sponsorship envelopes for collecting donations.
Access to a Just Giving campaign for online fundraising.
Festive headwear for all participants.

Handmade Easter Chick & Humpty Sales

Our knitted characters, each with a chocolate egg, are made by volunteers and sold before Easter to support East Cheshire Hospice.

Schools and groups can help by selling them at break times, displaying a basket in reception, or finding creative ways to get involved. A fun and ‘egg-cellent’ way to support the Hospice!

Other ideas:

Non-Uniform Day: Dress up in yellow or fancy dress for donations.
Sports Day: Turn it into a fundraiser with sponsorships or charity tournaments.
Bake Sale: Sell tasty treats during break times.
Sunflower Challenge: Grow and sell sunflowers or hold a growing competition to raise funds.

The Scout Association & Girlguiding UK

Achieve your badges by supporting East Cheshire Hospice! The badge programmes include badges for helping others, supporting a charity, and volunteering. We would love to help you get your badge by providing you with fundraising materials, or we can discuss any upcoming volunteering opportunities.
