Support groups

Our volunteer support groups raise vital funds and awareness for East Cheshire Hospice through events and activities year-round.

Joining a group is a fantastic way to meet new people, work together, connect with your community, and support a local cause. We provide materials, advice, regular meetings, and insurance cover for our groups.

Handmade goods team & Knit and Natter groups

Are you part of a craft group, like Knit and Natter? Your creations could help support East Cheshire Hospice! Handmade goods are sold at our reception to raise vital funds, and we often have creative projects for groups to get involved with.

If you enjoy sewing, knitting, woodwork, or jewellery making, why not turn your craft into fundraising? Sell your creations to friends and family and donate the proceeds, or donate them directly to us to sell at the Hospice or local events.

Local community groups and societies

There are so many community groups and societies across our catchment such as WI, Rotary, Probus, Tangent, Round Table, Freemasons, and many more. Every year we rely on their kind support through fundraising, volunteering, and spreading awareness of the Hospice.

If you and the members of your group can support East Cheshire Hospice, or if you would like us to visit and tell you more about the Hospice and the work we do, then we would love to hear from you.

Charity of the Year

Are you a Chairperson or Captain of a sports group or leisure club and able to choose a charity to support for the year ahead?

What can we offer to you?

We would love to come and visit and tell you more about the Hospice and the work we do.
We offer the opportunity to come and do a presentation to your community group so you can find out more about the Hospice.
We will provide you with fundraising materials and any advice you need when planning your fundraising activities.

Our services are delivered by a dedicated and integrated workforce of over 100 staff and more than 300 volunteers.
Only 21% of the Hospice’s funding is from the government and the remainder is funded independently through the generosity of the local community. We need to raise £9,362 each day to keep East Cheshire Hospice running.
