Jon Weston has already fulfilled a long list of engagements as Mayor of Bollington.
Another important diary date is a Pie and Pint event organised by East Cheshire Hospice on Saturday, September 27.
Jon and his black labrador Molly will join fellow fundraisers at 10 am for a 5k or 10k walk, starting and ending at Macclesfield Rugby Club.
Places are still available for the walk through Macclesfield, Prestbury and Mottram St Andrew, with marshals on the route.
The Hospice and Canalside Radio are Jon’s chosen charities in his year of office. His walk has raised more than £400 sponsorship.

Jon and Mayoress wife Helen enjoyed a Hospice tour. Helen’s late mother Patricia Alston received Hospice care in Shropshire last year.
Jon said: “The care was amazing and I thought it’d be good to support East Cheshire Hospice.
“The pie and the pint is something I’ll particularly enjoy. I’m out walking twice a day with Molly so the walk shouldn’t be a problem.
“The Hospice is phenomenal. We were impressed by the Hospice @Home service which reaches out into the community. Many people prefer to stay at home if possible.”
Jon is serving his second term as Mayor having been in office seven years ago.
A pie and a pint is served to over 18s after the walk. Soft drinks are also available.
Entertainment includes live music, a pub quiz, stalls and fundraising games. Registration is £22.50 for adults, £17.50 for children.
