East Cheshire Hospice is based in Macclesfield and supports patients with life limiting illnesses and their families. Our mission is “to provide the highest quality of care and support to the people we serve”. 

 We are looking for a Community and Events Assistant to support the work of the Community and Events team in the delivery of all fundraising activities, helping to deliver income against targets, who will provide excellent administrative and practical support to fundraisers and volunteers.  

 The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude with drive and enthusiasm to get things done, while having the commitment of working with others as part of a team.

What you will need:

  • Previous experience of providing excellent customer care
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability and confidence to create and maintain relationships
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft office product suite
  • An organised approach to work and ability to prioritise workload and cope with deadlines
  • To be a confident public speaker

This role requires some evenings and weekend work with notice for which time off in lieu will be given.  Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate must be a car owner and or have the ability to travel within the Hospice catchment area.
