Trek China! - East Cheshire Hospice

Trek China!

A once in a lifetime opportunity to trek The Great Wall of China & raise money for the Hospice

Our previous overseas treks have been a huge success, with the participants returning from their adventures with so many stories to tell and an enormous feeling of acheivement. This year we are taking on the iconic Great Wall of China!

Spend five days trekking through remote and challenging landscapes from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and Simatai.

Learn about local history and culture and enjoy local cuisine, experience the Great Wall of China with East Cheshire Hospice in 2021!

The Challenge

You will discover the beauty of China on this challenging 5-day trek along parts of one of the world’s greatest wonders. The route features both original and restored sections of the wall, offering challenging terrain and a very rewarding experience as you trek on, and next to, this marvellous structure, set off by a backdrop of rolling hills and rural farming communities. Your trip is rounded off with a visit to two of Beijing’s highlights, The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
