She said: “The Hospice has changed massively since dad was in there. But the love we were shown as a family back then is still as strong now.

“I knew I’d work there one day. I absolutely love my job which I’ve done for two years.

“I also love to organise an event. It was a brilliant night from start to finish. You could dress up as a film or music star and I went as an Oompa Loompa.

“I used to run a pub and put on a lot of charity nights. We had a disco last year and everyone was asking when we were having another.

“When we knew there was an appeal for new beds, I thought this was ideal. We could have sold it twice over and had to turn people away.

“I’ll need to rethink it next time, but I’ll do one every year.”

Hospice supporters dance the night away.

“People were so generous. We didn’t have to pay for anything and had donations from everywhere.”

More than £3,000 has so far been raised, including a £1,000 donation from Barclays Bank where Tracy’s daughter Kayliegh works.
