At East Cheshire Hospice, we provide compassionate end-of-life care in a warm, welcoming environment. Our team is dedicated to delivering not just medical support, but comfort, dignity, and nourishment to patients and their loved ones. We are now looking for a Catering Assistant to help us continue delivering meals made with care.

You’ll work as part of a tight-knit team in an exciting, fast-moving environment, assisting with the preparation of food, serving of meals, cleaning and washing up, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with hygiene regulations at all times.

· Help our team of chefs prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs

· Support the catering team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

· Assist with kitchen duties including dishwashing, stock rotation and food storage

· Provide a kind, sensitive service to patients, families and visitors

What you will need:

· A caring and compassionate approach to work

· Basic food preparation and kitchen experience (healthcare setting is a plus, but not essential)

· Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain)

· Respect for patient confidentiality and dignity

· Good communication skills

· Confidence to work as part of a team and on your own
