Bollington Mayor Jon Weston is holding a charity dinner next month to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice and Canalside Radio.
Other local Mayors are among supporters attending the event at Hollin House Hotel, Kerridge, on Saturday, March 21 (7 pm).

Mayor and Mayoress Jon and Helen Weston with (from left) Will Spinks, ex Chair of East Cheshire Hospice trustees, Chief Executive Karyn Johnston, and Juliette White, Chair of trustees.
Tickets priced £55 are still available from town manager Harriet Worrell who can be contacted via email townmanager@bollington-tc.gov.uk or calling 01625 572985. Full details are available at www.bollington-tc.gov.uk/council_events/mayors-charity-dinner/
The two organisations are Cllr Weston’s chosen charities.
He has already raised £650 from an event that did not go ahead. Jon and black labrador Molly were due to take part in a Pie and Pint walk which had to be cancelled.
Jon still did a 5k walk. He said: “I picked a route and we wandered off. I had got sponsorship so decided to do it. I had a pint at the end but never ended up having a pie.”
Jon’s wife Helen saw the value of Hospice care when she lost her mother Patricia two years ago.
An auction will hopefully boost fundraising at the dinner where ‘dress to impress’ is the code for attire.
Bollington-based community station Canalside Radio will provide entertainment.
Jon is serving his second term as Mayor after he was in office seven years ago.
Jon said: “It’s been a busy year but great fun and very enjoyable. I’ve attended countless events, including 90th birthdays, brownies, guides and air cadets.
“I’m lucky to have an excellent town manager in Harriet who has kept me busy.”
