Attend our Volunteer Open Evening at Thornton Square Shop

Are you willing to volunteer in the East Cheshire Hospice charity shop at Thornton Square?

The Hospice is inviting anyone interested to attend an Open Evening at the shop from 4-6 pm on Thursday, September 25.

No experience is needed and full training and support will be provided.

Selma Barclay from the shop volunteer team.

Commercial manager Louise Delany said: “Volunteers are at the heart of our charity shops and we’re always on the lookout for more friendly faces to join the team.

“We have flexible roles to suit everyone whether they can spare a few hours a week or just a couple of days a month.

“Volunteering is a brilliant way to give back, meet new people, and support a much-loved local charity.”

Roles include sorting and steaming donated items, helping customers at the till, creating shop displays and backroom tasks for those who prefer to stay behind the scenes. If interested email Louise at ldelany@echospice.org.uk, call into the shop or just turn up on the day.

The Hospice has weekend volunteering opportunities at the Congleton and Knutsford shops which open on Sundays.

The Hospice is also asking for good quality furniture. Email furniture@echospice.org.uk with donations.
