The memory of her nana inspired Ellie Ellis-Webber on her journey through the streets of London.
Ellie ran a half marathon past the capital’s iconic landmarks and raised £650 for East Cheshire Hospice.
Her late nana, Jennifer Ellis, was a volunteer at the charity for 12 years, earning a long service award.

Ellie said: “Nana spent time in the daycare centre talking to and caring for patients and assisting with different activities.
“She continued to support the Hospice in its fundraising efforts for the rest of her life, helping at annual fetes and always stopping at every market stall or collection box to make donations.”
Ellie had never run before she signed up for the London run, past Big Ben and finishing at Trafalgar Square.

She said: “I was always inspired by what nana did at the Hospice and when she sadly passed, I wanted to challenge myself and try something new.
“I was driven by the fact nana had given up so much of her free time to support the Hospice.”
“She had fond memories of visiting the Hospice which meant a lot to her.”
Ellie downloaded running app, Runna, to assist her training. It was a good move as she later got a job with the company, building features for its app.
“I started my new job at Runna in January. Maybe my nana was looking down on me!”
