Estate Planning Solutions (EPS) has organised several fundraising activities.

Businessman Paul Dodsworth has the perfect way to describe East Cheshire Hospice.

He said: โ€œItโ€™s like a blueprint of how to run a hospice properly.โ€

Words spoken from the heart by a man whose late father Peter was a patient there more than five years ago.

Paul said: โ€œThe Hospice is right up there with the absolute best and such an important part of the community.

โ€œWe need to support it any way we can.โ€

True to those words, Paulโ€™s firm Estate Planning Solutions (EPS) has organised several fundraising activities.

An open coffee morning will be held at its offices on Jordangate on Saturday June 14 (10 am to 2 pm). Wife Natasha will be making cakes.

Paul and his staff are also inviting clients to join them in a Cheshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday, September 6.

EPS marked the opening of its Macclesfield office last autumn by taking part in Will Month run by the Hospice.

Indeed, the firm donates to the charity from wills written year-round.

EPS has also helped with the Hospiceโ€™s legal clinic for patients and families and was a sponsor of last yearโ€™s Art Fair Cheshire.

Paul said: โ€œDad had three strokes while he was in hospital and went to the Hospice for the last three days of his life.

โ€œThe doctors and nurses caring for my dad were brilliant. Our family couldnโ€™t have wished for better support given the circumstances.โ€

Peter, who was 83, spent much of his career as an account executive for leasing companies, mainly Lombard.

The family moved to Bollington in 1971 when a colour television clinched the deal, much to the delight of Paul and twin brother Ian.

Paul said: โ€œWe lived in Yorkshire initially and dadโ€™s work brought us over here. Two 12-year-old boys refused to move unless he bought a colour TV which he did!โ€

Paul is managing director at EPS which he has run for more than 20 years. He said: โ€œWe had an office near Manchester Airport but wanted premises closer to home.

โ€œItโ€™s been a great move for us, bringing us into the Macclesfield community and on the doorstep of the Hospice.

โ€œWeโ€™re not just will writers โ€“ weโ€™re estate planners as well, helping people make sure their wealth ends up with the right people at the right time.โ€
