Volunteer Jane Bourne is preparing for the trip of a lifetime in memory of her late mother, Mary Crossland.
Jane is visiting the Great Wall of China with other East Cheshire Hospice supporters on a five-day trek in November next year.
The party will also visit The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square in Beijing.
Places are still available for anyone who wants to join the Far East adventure.

An information evening about the trip will take place at the Hospice at 6.30 pm on Tuesday, November 4, and more details can be found online.
Mary, who was 73, was looked after by the Hospice in 2020.
She received Hospice @Home care for six months at the height of the pandemic and then spent her final week as an inpatient.
Jane said: “The Hospice did a fantastic job supporting our family when mum died of cancer.
“Mum meant everything to me and the China trip is my way of honouring her.

“I’ve wanted to do something for the last five years, but with two children and other commitments I haven’t had the opportunity.
“I want to raise awareness of what a wonderful job the Hospice do throughout the journey and not just at the end.
“I’ve never travelled alone in my life, so the trip is taking me out of my comfort zone, but it’s for a great cause so I’m just going for it.
“I wanted a challenge and having turned 51 it’s something I wanted to do.”
Jane, a project manager, volunteers at the charity’s shop in Congleton every Sunday. Daughters Millie (16) and Harriet (14) also help there.
Jane has funded the trip herself and hopes a raffle, backed by the support from the local community, will help raise extra funds for the charity.
She is inviting local businesses to donate prizes.
Jane said: “I’m excited by the whole experience of visiting China. Every mile I walk is a thank you and a promise to help others receive the same love and care we did.”
