Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in palliative and end-of-life care?

We are seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our dedicated Hospice team, providing outstanding holistic care to patients and their families during the most challenging times of their lives. East Cheshire Hospice is a warm and supportive environment where patient dignity, comfort, and quality of life are our highest priorities.

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a specialist palliative care setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with life-limiting illnesses, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

East Cheshire Hospice is based in Macclesfield and supports patients and families from the High Peak and East Cheshire areas. We take time to see beyond the patient’s condition to the whole person and their family. Our highly qualified nursing team have time to help and support in a professional, caring and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate and person-centred nursing care to patients with palliative and end-of-life care needs.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
Administer medications and treatments in line with Hospice policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, allied health professionals, and support staff.
Offer emotional and practical support to patients and their families, ensuring a sensitive and empathetic approach.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
Contribute to the development and improvement of palliative care services within the Hospice.

What you will need:

Registered nurse with a valid NMC pin.
An interest in providing compassionate, high-quality care to people with life limiting illnesses.
Experience in palliative care or similar (desirable but not essential, training will be provided).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
