About Outpatient Therapies

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can help with a range of problems and symptoms, including: weakness, fatigue, breathlessness, poor mobility, pain, stiffness, soft tissue or muscle problems.

Physiotherapists help patients to maintain or improve their function and independence, and will also offer strategies or carry out ‘hands on’ treatments to help control symptoms. Treatments such as heat, cold, or TENS may be offered for pain or other symptoms.

Lymphoedema Support

Lymphoedema is a condition that causes swelling due to a build-up of fluid, often linked to cancer or its treatment. It most commonly affects the arms or legs and can impact mobility and comfort.

At East Cheshire Hospice, we provide a specialist lymphoedema service for inpatients, outpatients and day care patients. Our experienced team offers personalised care, expert advice and symptom management to help reduce swelling and improve quality of life.

Referrals to our lymphoedema service must be made by a healthcare professional.
