Support from Bristol Street Motors

A Macclesfield car dealership is rounding off the year by getting its charity fundraising right on track.

Bristol Street Motors Vauxhall Macclesfield has just totalled up the monies for its fourth sell-a-thon event - when £50 was donated by the company for every new car sold in August and September.

The dealership, which is located at Lyme Green Business Park, has now raised a further £3050 for the Hospice.

In March, a similar event raised around £4,400 bringing their total raised so far to £13,000.

Now proud members of the Hospice “500 Club” where businesses promise to give at least £500 to the charity per annum, the company is delighted to continue its support for the charity.

“I’m born and bred in Macclesfield and know how much people value the work of the Hospice on a daily basis,” says David Woodward, sales manager at Bristol Street Vauxhall. “We think this is one of the town’s most deserving causes and we are pleased to have developed a long term partnership with the team at the Hospice.”

And David is already planning how the company and its employees can continue to support the Hospice next year but so far, details are under wraps. “We have some challenging plans, that’s all I can say at the moment!” he says.

April Green, Corporate Relationships Manager at East Cheshire Hospice, added: “David and the Bristol Street Motors team are terrific ongoing supporters and it’s really encouraging to have their continued support.”

The money raised goes some of the way towards the £4 million that East Cheshire Hospice needs every year to deliver its high quality care to patients and their families in the Macclesfield area and beyond.
