STEPtember - East Cheshire Hospice

Are you ready to step up for East Cheshire Hospice this September? 🥾

In the 30 days of September, we’re asking you to strap on your walking boots and take one step for every £1 needed to run the Hospice each day.

That’s 7,500 steps, (£7,500!) a day, totaling to 225,000 steps throughout the month. It’s no mean feet! 🦶

If that sounds like too much, don’t worry! Taking part is the main thing and if you’d prefer to set a lower target that’s fine.

Here’s how to take part…

👣 Step 1: Complete the form below

When you sign up, we’ll provide you with a pack including a t-shirt, wristband, and a step totaliser to help you keep track of your progress, as well as some other handy items to make your challenge and your fundraising a walk in the park.

👣 Step 2: Start fundraising

As it says above, we need to raise £7,500 every single day to keep the Hospice running. We’re not asking that you raise that much with your challenge, but every penny helps! So make sure you tell everyone what you’re doing and why, and ask them if they will sponsor you.

You can set up your online fundraising page on JustGiving here.

👣 Step 3: …Steps!

From the 1st to the 30th September, it’s go time! Just put one foot in front of the other and repeat. Keep track of your steps with your smartphone or smart watch and add them to your Steptometre. Click here for a quick guide on using your phone to track your steps.

Posting your progress on social media for your sponsors to see often helps with fundraising too.

Make sure you tag the Hospice as well! Find us on Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and Twitter. We’ll be following the hashtag #SteptemberECH.
