ArtSpace is hosting ‘Blanket Statements’, an exhibition of quilts, blankets and textile squares at Christ Church.

As part of the project, East Cheshire Hospice and ArtSpace are holding a free knitting and crocheting session at the Sunflower Living Well Centre, East Cheshire Hospice, on Saturday 15th August from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you’d like to drop in for a short time or stay for the whole session.

The 10cm x 10cm squares created during the session will be combined into a community blanket, which will be displayed at Christ Church during Textile Week, beginning on 19th September.

Following the exhibition, the community blanket will be used to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice, either through a raffle or by being sold, with all proceeds supporting hospice care.
