Dying Matters Day 2019 - East Cheshire Hospice

Expired: Dying Matters Day 2019

Wednesday 15th May, From 10.30am, East Cheshire Hospice

As part of this years Dying Matters Week 2019, we are having a special Dying Matters Day here at the Hospice on Wednesday 15th May. There will be a range of activities on the day to help us talk about the most difficult subject of all.

You are welcome to come and take part in the whole day or just pop in.

10.30am – 12pm Dying Matters cafe

How we die is pretty important, and yet we don’t talk about it. We talk about how we want our wedding to be, our imaginary win from the lottery, but the one thing that is 100% guaranteed to happen to us… we leave in the dark!  When we don’t talk and let it linger in the shadows, we make it more scary. Are you ready to break down the barriers and talk about this incredibly important transition and event in our lives?

12pm – 1pm Lunch

1.30pm – 3.30pm Workshop –

Are we ready to talk to our children about death & dying? How do we prepare children for when the inevitable happens?
This workshop will help build confidence around talking to children about this scary subject and explore some resources that may help us

4pm – 5pm Children’s Yoga

Here at the hospice we use yoga and mindfulness to help support Support children’s and families. Come and join us for a fun taster session and see what it’s like! Aimed at pre and primary school children and their adults!
