 | With a new route and more places available, the 2010 East Cheshire Hospice Midnight Walk is set to be the biggest yet. With over £180,000 raised from the past two walks, this moon lit event is the biggest fundraiser in the hospice calendar. Organiser Lara Rigby says, ‘In 2008 we had just 500 walkers, in 2009 that doubled to 1,000 walkers this year we are aiming for 1,000 walkers yet again.’ The walk is already a firm favourite amongst hospice supporters and has the residents of Macclesfield buzzing with excitement. The 2010 Midnight walk will start once again at Macclesfield Leisure Centre. The new route is set to be completely different than in the past two years stretching out along Gawsworth and Congleton Roads in Macclesfield.
