Lymphoedema Clinic

At East Cheshire Hospice we have a Lymphoedema Clinic to treat patients with lymphoedema secondary to cancer. Our clinic is based in the day care physiotherapy unit and open three days a week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

We see in-patients, day care patients and out-patients with Lymphoedema.

Referrals are received from GPs, consultants and health care professionals, but we require a doctor s signature to authorise the referral.

Our main Lymphoedema Practitioner is Joy Stevenson.

Natalie Nye, our Physiotherapist is also trained as a keyworker in Lymphoedema.

Our management of lymphoedema follows British Lymphoedema Society guidelines and includes factors such as skin care, compression, exercise and lymphatic drainage techniques.
